Hi KZNerd; Should be interesting trading tomorrow. I'll be interested to see if the street has already factored in the Samsung plug pulling. My guess is that they did, but I bet mom and pop didn't. I haven't been watching the stock carefully enough to know whether mom and pop are buying, but my guess is that they are, along with the mutual funds that wanted to look decent at the end of the quarter.

The worst news for the stock on this thread, in my opinion, is that Zeev hasn't given it a buy signal yet, and is bearishly talking about $20 per share. The amazement I hold for that guy's charting and 10-Q reading abilities date back to a bank bust (CTYS) that lost me $24K, and would have been more but for him, probably.

The only thing that bothers me is that I went long AMD before the RMBS fiasco because of expected technical and performance problems with Rambus, all of which happened, but all it has gotten me is down something like $2.50

Oh well, I guess that's what it means to be a long term investor.

Kznerd,

Re"granularity"

Well the argument can be made that by end of next year we will be there.

Low end machines may consist of a single chip plus a memory chip.

Intels timna is an example of this approach.

For lots of low end apps and appliamnces 32/64Mb of DRAM is fine.

Pretty soon it'll be on a single chip.

And maybe on a processor module with CPU and DRAM wire binded or flip chipped onto a single substrate.

In this area Rambus is surely a compelling choice.

regards,

Kash
