Broadcom Seeks To Double Number Of Authorized Shares (BRCM)
(NewsTraders.com)-- Broadcom Corp. (BRCM) has called a special meeting in November where shareholders will vote on a proposal to double the number of authorized shares, according to a preliminary proxy filing released by the SEC after market close yesterday.
If the board of directors' proposal is adopted by investors, the communications chip maker will have authority to double the Class A shares to 400 million and Class B shares to 200 million.
