DaneilleC - what are you thinking about buying. There are a few factors the market current faces that I think would make any investor nervous:

1. Today is the first day of the quarter - yesterday's advance could be attributed to mutual fund window dressing, and as such, there may be some major selling today.

2. Next Tuesday is the FOMC meeting - and opinions seem to be divided over whether the Fed will raise. If you buy stock today, you are essentially placing a bet on the Fed's decision.

3. This is October - and well, historically, October is a bad month for speculating in the market.

4. If you are looking at investing in Internet Stocks - these stocks have shown a pattern over the past two quarters where there are runs ups into earnings reporting followed by major sell-offs. This happened in April and again in July.

So, what are you buying? What stocks can defy the above without large levels of risk?

NAPM data will be released in about 5 minutes and will likely set the tone for the day.

Thanks,
-Eric
