This PR was packed solid. Catch the qualifications and connections of Murphy. Read how he has already begun to fight for TSIG business. Notice the direction of the company with his duties. 1. Senior VP of E-Commerce Tom Murphy appears to be the fully qualified National Sales & Marketing influence Gordon has needed to guide the marketing and sales departments of TSIG.com. "Mr. Murphy's role will be to develop and manage national accounts for the myMusicCard and myPhotoCard programs." 2. Remember the comments toward EOCnet being a sleeper account? Wait until it is time for this to wake up and begin generating. Like any project, it should start slow and continue to build. This could generate into something big if accepted. It should not get in the way of the primary focus of the company. "He also will be heading up sales and marketing under the company's sales representative agreement for North America with EOCnet.com." 3. Murphy is apparently a self starter and agressive. "Most recently, Tom Murphy has maintained a private consulting practice in which he has helped develop entertainment-oriented e-commerce programs" 4. Look at his credentials closely. He has contacts with and has worked with some of the big guys. Think he knows a few more? What will he be bringing with him? He does have a client base after all. Notice the influence is corporate? These normally contract for an amount or project and then deliver according to contract or sales. "he has helped develop entertainment-oriented e-commerce programs for such clients as Home Shopping Network, USA Networks and CitySearch." 5. Think this fits TSIG? He may be able to handle working with National Music Foundation's entertainment content. "Previously, Mr. Murphy was Vice President, Tour Division, for Entertainment Marketing Inc., a manager of music tour sponsorship programs for corporate clients." 6. Experienced credentials? He held responsible positions in the leading companies of industries devoted to excellence in marketing and sales. "For more than a decade, Mr. Murphy held senior sales and marketing management positions in several major consumer packaged goods companies, including Coca-Cola USA and Procter & Gamble." 7. Yes Gordon, I would have to agree completely. He should be a dynamic team leader. ""With his extensive national sales and marketing experience, Tom Murphy will be a great addition to our team at TSIG.com," commented Robert Gordon, chairman." 8. Murphy apparently has hit the road with all barrels blasting. He initially has the contacts already made within TSIG by Gordon, the leads generated by the recent show, and his own contacts and clientel to work with. ""He is already meeting with companies about the myMusicCard and myPhotoCard programs, and will soon be launching our sales effort under our agreement with EOCnet.com."" This is not an individual that came on board with other goals in mind. He is here to aid and promote the card sales and focus on the projects at hand through proper marketing techniques. He has also taken the responsibility of generating the EOCnet project into a successful venture. The PR directly pointed his responsibilities into the focused interests of TSIG. Now, lets wait and see how well he truly melds into the company and produces. I'm sure we all have high hopes for his effectiveness. I, for one, offer my best wishes for his performance to excel.
