No, this loonie isn't a neighbor. I'll probably get around to describing the situation further, since I whetted everyone's curiosity. But not right now. I'm really pissed about the whole situation. It's kind of a "stalker" thing where I tried being non-responsive, hoping my admirer would get frustrated and move along. In the midst of this Mr Psycho decided I had to be involved with this woman, and so now he's threatening me. How he got that idea is another infuriating aspect of this whole nightmare, and one where I can't prove what I think is going on.

As for getting him arrested, I was alone when this happened. Usually there's someone around in the neighborhood, but there wasn't that day. It would be my word against his. This idiot sent me a very threatening note a year or so ago (this has been simmering along for almost two years) and I foolishly tossed it out, thinking this had to have blown over. Besides, you don't stay in the slammer very long for trespassing and making threats. He'd likely come out madder than when he went in.

The police are really only able to intervene if they are there when something like this is happening. Or they can come and pick up the pieces. A few years ago a cop suggested to me that if he were in a situation like mine he'd make sure he had a gun around.
