Looking at EBAY's P/E ratio is worthless, in my opinion. EBAY is profitable, but they are getting labeled "overvalued" because their P/E is astronomical. I mean, what if the company was losing money? No P/E period. You can't even calculate it! This is true for the majority of the Internet companies. Duh! So does this mean that all these companies should be penny stocks? (I know the shorts will jump all over this!) Of course not! Obviously valuations are forward looking. And that's where things get really foggy. Wish I had a crystal ball!
