Yes, tempting to nail it down. In my case, I perhaps unwisely sold the Oct. 25's as a diagonal spread to lower the cost of the Nov. 20's. This of course limits my eventual profit to 5 points plus whatever time premium is left in the Novembers at expiration of the Oct in 2 weeks. So I am motivated to keep both sides open 2 more weeks in order to wring out the time premium from the short side. Never at risk of losing long shares as long as I keep the Novs, can always exercise them to cover if necessary. And will still exercise the Oct 7 1/2s bought in April. BP
