Is Dell responding to Dan Niles and the concern over the fears about Taiwan's effect on production today? I think things will settle down after the Fed Meeting on Tuesday. I am for stability with Dell... Hopefully, there will be more statements about the strength in the company and production remaining strong.

GTW is up two on this announcement:

Message 11414090

amazing. maybe the edamos are mostly right. Dell either (a)doesn't properly sell their message to wall street or (b) Dell allows the street to will its way regardless of the inaccuracy of the information, thus wall street finds it easier to range trade and to always suspect the negative. as JR says, it'll be settled next week.

but, if we believe our Dataquest friends (among other extremely knowledgable observers) Dell's sales are booming. how else can you say this. booming. way ahead of our earlier projections. ahead. far ahead. better than projected.

And Meredith states sales in China are "torrid". "Torrid"; meaning way better than average. Far above normal. Hot. China. 1 billion people. India sales "hot". 700 million people. 1.7 billion people, nearly 1/3 of the world's population wants Dell. Dell is torrid there. But, no, Dell has Leave It To Beaver (Niles) to deal with in the U.S. who probably visited Taiwan through the pages of a dictionary.

perfect timing for Niles prior to Greespan. it is almost mathematically impossible for Dell to screw up the next two quarters unless we are beginning the apocolypse and SanFran falls in the sea (something like that).
