OT re: debt

You'll probably like this then. On C-Span this morning, they had call-ins to the EITC (Earned Income Tax) Coordinator from people for and against the EITC payment delay proposal by the House of Reps. He said that EITC payments can exceed not only any income taxes one has paid but any payroll taxes so that there are many people getting paid by the government. He seemed to think this was a good thing. This would indicate that many people will likely collect Social Security and Medicare benefits in the future while having paid far less than their accounts show.
