That's fine. I just think most of the prostitutes I known have been pretty much ordinary people, some with the ability to adjust to unhappy circumstances better than many people in the US. I agree that there is a tendency for many western men to romanticize the Asian and Pacific girls they meet and fall in love with. I was always amazed that Magellan's ship made it back to Europe, and not at all amazed that the Bounty didn't. When one considers how repressed and sinful European girls tended to be, to meet open-hearted, sex-loving women must have been a real discovery. It's still happening. The sex planes from Europe and Japan dump hordes of men on the sex cities of Asia --- Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Manila, etc. Some of the girls I knew showed me names and pictures of their German, American, Danish and Australian fathers of their kids who were still contributing something to their upbringing. All I am saying is that one's attitude to one's work is almost everything. I would rather be a whore than a spy, or tax collector, a thief or a preacher. Many women would rather be whores than let their children starve. One only need to understand stoicism or Buddhism to recognize that nothing "out there" can hurt one.
