You are quite correct, spreads are higher with juniors (understandably so). It just seems that the market makers for METLF consistently gouge more than others.

Example:

Miramar MAENF B64 A74

Metalica METLF B64 A80

Considering both ends of a trade this is a MAJOR difference!
I used the Miramar/Metalica as an example because I own them both and
they each trade on NASDAQ. Usually keeping between 10 to 15 juniors
in my portfolio and tracking many, the poor pricing of Metalica ALWAYS
bothers me. There are many other smaller companies priced much more efficiently. I feel this is a hinderance to past and future performance. We could really use much more action (volume) on this
stock. When it happens the price will be up and not down!

With an average cost in the .40's I'm quite pleased. However, it would be much better for everyone if the spread narrowed. I believe it will down the road. Just wish it was now. Can't stand the feeling of being robbed when adding additional shares, or making portfolio adjustments.

Gentlemen,

MR announced today a JV with the entire El Morro property in Chile with Noranda. It looks reasonable to me with Noranda earning a 70% interest, but only after around $20 million US dollar expenditure either on development or cash to Metallica in the next 5 years. Hopefully, with their participation, this property will be a producer and cash flow engine for MR.

Au is getting to where it looks like the Mexican mine could be economical soon.

What is your take on the current situation with Metallica?

Is there a problem at Cerro San Pedro?

Used to think my average cost was low.....
