FWIW, this is just Sun playing games. The legal details involved in their "opening up" of solaris is that it is mostly a sham, just designed to ride the linux/open source hype. But, as redhat is already riding the linux hype, the damage to Redhat's share price may be just as effective as if Sun had really and honestly opened up Solaris.
