The portfolio manager in quicken.com is close to what I wanted. I weighted the stocks by specifying the # of shares in the portfolio, and the total value of the portfolio would represent the value of the index.

I'm negative on all the indexes. I need more information than the A-D and H-L data. I think total short interest or perhaps put/call ratios would be of useful.

Powerful rally on Nasdaq. The new highs are leading the rally -- which IMO indicates this rally will continue for awhile. The rally on the NYSE is not supported by positive net new highs and should be weak.
