Worth Magazine: "Disney may soon own 100% of Pixar at $100+ per share".

This deal makes a lot of sense. Disney needs to continue to be the leader of blockbuster animated movies, including computer-generated graphics, and to own 100% of Pixar would keep them at the top. Pixar has demonstrated that they can produce mega hit computer animated movies (Toy Story and A Bug's Life). Disney's growth has been hurting lately and their stock has suffered significantly. It is a great time for Disney to buy Pixar now and keep 100% of the profits for ABL, Toy Story 2, Monsters, etc., and not have to share with Pixar 50/50, which is a great deal for Pixar.

I have been checking out the newstands and the latest issue (Nov) is not for sale yet. Looks like the magazine subscribers are getting to this information first.

Here are two messages from different posters about this.

Steve's Two Jobs

Apple uses art to create technology. Pixar uses technology to create art. You have to be a bit crazy to do both.
