Ah, I see. Devil's advocate is dangerous work :)

But I really have no clue how adding technology would help amazon at all..they handle credit cards, SSL is mature and trusted, they email me my order with the credit card blacked out.. why add some vaporware into the mix that isn't in demand and isn't web based?

However, anyone who can sell Amazon a time machine to go back in time and be the first to do auctions..could get a pretty penny :)
