O/T JimL; re: <<, Trying to pick a fight or just being playful?>>

Well of course; just "playfull" reparte ~

Surely, you and anyone who has read your numerous comments to me here & on Yahoo would understand that (VBG).

Per your "audible" call.... I simply didn't see a call; just looked like a "long count" to me.... no snap - no play...(VBG).

I just wanted to clarify what your call was; nothing more... I was just trying to make sure the Ref didn't throw a flag for delay of game before you got the snap off...(VBG).

RE: < thats why I try to hold for more than 24 hours>

Now Jim; there you go again... that's exactly what the Cramer article today was all about. Some people will just never grasp even the most simplistic of concepts.

All of this reaction for example over my earlier "call" to sell MEXP; then to re-buy the next morning was met with catcalls, boo's, confusion and literally - total imcomprehension & ignorance. I thought Cramer's article where he experienced the same "flames" from some of his readers (not that I am a "Cramer" either...); for selling shortly after making a "BUY" call was a great example of the emotional reaction of internet posters who are virtually incompetent to be trading online; due to their total emotional attachment to their positions; and their view to anyone selling - even when its to protect capital during a freefall (ala MEXP) or to take profits; is viewed as a direct flagrant attack on their individual positions... literally as if you personally put your hand in their very pockets...

Sadly; there is such an incomprehensible emotional attachment to some traders positions; that they become prisoners to their plan; unable to react or adjust. The other amazing thing is to watch the emotional reactions to someone who has a differing opinion; or even who merely sells to take profits. There is this mantra of 'once you buy - you can not sell untill you die'... To me; I could not fathom how there could be any confusion on the entire MEXP play. Pretty simplistic concepts actually. If you are incapable of stepping out of a stock that is in a freefall - down 20% on huge volume before noon; you need help... and if you don't understand the concept of protecting capital; to stay in the game - you sure as hell shouldn't be trading; or owning individual stocks. The confusion & reaction to my comments on MEXP was a classic...

The reaction to my comments on FGI were simply laughable. Geiches's hystrionics and calls of internet manipulation etc. were the epitome of near emotional incapability to look logically at events and conditions. Shorting, or having negative opinions of a companies prospects, markets, or its actions is neither illegal, unethical, nor are these companies immune from public discussion. Trust me; TheStreet.Com is a little bigger fish to fry than any internet poster...

per Heretic's comments about Cramer; amazing - how the green monster allways comes to the surface. I simply despise whiney assed, cheap shot -off the subject, ankle biting commentary like that... My comments about Cramer had nothing to do with his returns for 1998. In reference to Heretic - who must have drifted from the "Cramer Hate Thread" that SI let run so long... or the TSC thread; Cramer & Berkowitz's returns over the last 5 years have significantly outperfomed the market. The WSJ article covered all of that. Guys like Rory & Heretic are like the losers seen in the grandstands in the Cheap Seats - who pay their $2 and think they have a license to boo the guy who pops up with the bases loaded... small, inconsequential people who usually have accomplished nothing in life; and are certainly incapable of, or willing to put it all out there on the line like Cramer does every day. I don't think I saw Heretic on the cover of Money Magazine, as a guest on CNBC, or with his own successfull IPO Webzine... nah, don't think 'ole Hetetic has the guts to make a call on anything in life and certainly; not to put his money where his mouth is... I think Cramer is where he is; because he was willing to do so - and did so rather successfully...

My point wasn't about "Cramer", or what Cramer's returns were. It's not even if the trade made 2%, lost 2%, or made 20%; its about the mindset, the thinking process... the ability to react; to be able to adjust and to change the gameplan in reaction to changing events... that concept is nothing unique to Cramer; he just wrote a great article that is a direct example of how Internet posters/investors react everyday.

So many people here seem "lost"... This isn't about "frantic" trading; but rather about flowing with the market; adjusting and being flexible as changing conditions warrant; being the director of your plan - not a stiff inflexible slave to it...

Rory; no not every trade I make has allways made money. Nice whiney assed, ankle biting comment though... Have your FGI wounds healed yet ? (it was real impressive that you noticed the short interest about a year after it was "the" factor in the stock by the way)...

Per your WSJ article... That's a great point. That's why its allways good to choose your words carefully; or to quote public entities like TheStreet.Com... Some companies definitely would not be interested in biting off more than they can chew... certainly never a good idea to throw stones in a glass house either. On the flip side there has been at least 4 recent victories by individuals sued by these companies (especially when posters reside in states with anti - Slap suit statutes) where even ACLU Attorneys have won, collected damages and costs from these companies. The most important point in the entire article - is that there rarely is any grounds to collect "any" damages. It is merely the threat that often silences... some people react to threats differently than others...

Ahhh message boards... I especially enjoy the Heretic's & the Rory's of the world... you'll probably be able to find them sitting in the cheap seats this weekend somewhere, booing the guy that drops the pass, or pops up with 2 men on... hero's - real stars... in those cheap seats of life...
