Deal's done. don't know for sure w/whom, although my best sources say the buyer's 'name' might make handset employees feel screwed (pun?) even though they *won't* be. ij's taking care of them, and san diego (like always)

Logjam's w/HR. They're scared about (you guessed it) cementing details of a stock option carry-over plan that's comparable with what the INFRA employees got. They don't want any more lawsuits.

That's why the negative LWIN release was echoed by QC, and amplified as a 'big hit' to 4qtr earnings: more than it will be.

Corporate wants the stock price DOWN this week because they're FIXING a date from which all stock option/conversion plans will proceed from for xferring employees.

Anybody out there remember the pre-split price that became the basis for xferring INFRA employees? More importantly: remember how the stock JACKED up after that date?

They're trying to shave a few million off the bottom line by cementing the deal when the stock's down: artificially.
