Bill, i agree. he will do nothing...probably not even announce a tightening bias. they have gotten into the habit of telegraphing their moves and there came nothing but new era speak out of the Fed governors lately.

EDIT: whether the markets will like it is a differnt question.

exactly, that's my point. they're in a box, whatever they do, we're headed for a disaster. we simply await a catalyst now... tankan guns the yen on mon? BOJ refusal to print on the 15th? Fed forced to raise on tues or intermeeting due to bond and dollar crashing and gold soaring? who knows?

rumor has it that many cannot meet their gold obligations as of MOnday's unexpected romp. we have the beginnings of a total meltdown beginning...... the whole fiat system could be at risk.. he will have to raise.

we'll see....
