Most multi-monitor systems work to create a an extented desktop. For instance I have 4 monitors. Win98 sees it as one destop. and you have applications that run in one monitor or you can stretch them across several like Realtick 3 for trading purpoes where you want to see lots of charts, quotes , level 2's etc - all operating under one application. Setting them up can be a bugger but once you have it done it's great. The best thing about win98 is multi-monitor support. No closing this to get to that etc. It's all there.

Degauss has nothing to do with multi-monitor systems. It's supposed to demagnetize your monitor, that's all.

Steven, could you tell me how exactly multi-monitor systems work. My impression is that an extra monitor gives
an extra desktop screen. Is this correct?

See languru.com for information on the various ways your video display can be spread over multiple monitors.
