Truedog, you're right,

I can only assume that all operations were not "military".

My mother and father both worked in an office in Leavenworth, Kansas. And after 2 years of "Duty", they were married. And I'll tell you what, I could make my bed and bounce a quarter on it when I was 5 years old. And that was way before contour sheets.

But, you know since my mother was in the Army, she has told me that there were never any sexual harassment problems in her time. And the men and women worked together like they do now. I've thought about it a lot when these cases have come up, and the only conclusion I can think of is that people had more respect for one another then. When my parents were engaged, their idea of a great weekend would be to have a picnic or go to a movie. And on Sunday morning, they would go to church. It sure is a different world now isn't it?

One last thought. My mother is the nicest, sweetest, gentle spirited 80 year old "Lady" you could ever meet. When I tell people she was an officer in the Army, I have to show them pictures of her in uniform before they believe it!
