Excellent work Kevin. Maybe they don't get colds in Texas.
Here's a interesting post from the GUMM thread along the lines of your information.

Message 11292162

Wonder what happens to the inventory of a seasonal product like this that doesn't move off the shelf? Do Manufacturers or wholesalers make any arrangement to finance/takeback inventory that doesn't move?

Best Regards,
Mad2

Field report update, 10/13/99:

Revisited Kroger, still under remodeling. Due to the situation many products are unavailable and there is plenty of empty shelf space all over the place.

Despite this, at least 11 boxes of Zicam remained on display, squashed into a one-wide space, with boxes stashed under the lip of the shelf above, and lined along the back, out of obvious sight.

Call it a stretch, but it sure feels like they're not enthralled with Zicam sales so far.

The kicker: Less than half a minute later, the in-store radio blares out an ad... for Cold-Eeze! LOL!
