RE:"The Best Buy in my town has not had a single IBM
Athlon computer in. has to be ordered. I was there last weekend to try to
see one and I was there this weekend to try to see one.
Dan3--you have a lot invested in AMD, huh?"...

They've had IBM Athlon systems for sale at my Best Buy in So. Florida for a couple weeks...
Costco even has the Compaq Athlons...
Seems like there are plenty of Athlons with the motherboards still the limiting factor.
There are even 700MHz Athlons on pricewatch. Availibility next week...

I picked up a couple of DVDs at a Best Buy today(Aurora, Il), and took a quick peek to be sure that they had Athlons - they did. Last week I saw them at a different store(Downers Grove, Il). Best Buy is a national chain that sells the same product at all stores. I think that if you didn't see them, you weren't looking very hard.
