Aw, jiminy. See, I knew we would probably not agree on this.

I never really liked The Who very much. You'll notice that a band that starts with B is not on my list either.

If I put Stevie on the list, then I gotta put Johnny Winter on the list, and if I put Johnny Winter on the list, then I have to put Duane Allman on the list, and that means I forgot the Allman Bros. And that means I forgot BB King and Albert King and Stevie Wonder...aw, MAN! I forgot all kinds of people. Wilson Pickett, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Elvis, Diana Ross, Jerry Lee Lewis, Aretha Franklin, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Eddie Cochran, the Everly Brothers, George Jones, (yeah, I like him), it's impossible to make a list because you would leave people out that should be on the list.

That list I made was people that had a big influence on me as a musician. I grew up in a small midwestern town. AM radio. I never even knew there was such a thing as blues until I went to college.

H.V.-If you like SRV then I encourage you to check out Chris Duarte. He is the baddest mofo you've ever seen live. He's from Austin..he tours.. go see him. Guitar, bass and drums--the way it oughta be.
2nd CD "Tailspin Headwhack" will give you a good idea of what he's about. Everyone I have ever taken to see him are totally blown away....HUGE!!

BTW--I'll give Stevie your regards next time I ride past his statue.
