Doug, I don't do much in the way of predicting prices in tight time
frames, such as your 2 and 3 month targets for gold. I think that gold
is in a multi-year uptrend vs. the dollar due to the recklessness of
Alan Greenspan and the slowing down of CB sales. Very short term, we've
come a long way very fast and I wouldn't be surprised to see a down move
of 10% or so. In 3 years, I expect gold to be over $500 an ounce.
I think GATA is the organization that is protesting gold sales by the
Central Banks, but I'm not certain that those are the initials.

Good Luck,

MB

Yes Richard, I am not short gold. The last time I shorted physical gold was 1985. I've had a few long forays since then but not in the past two years. I have had no position in physical gold, in either direction, for the last year. My only gold related position is long certain shares. The last time my portfolio did not include at least some mining shares was the mid 70s.
