Hi Bobby,

I find the new SI rather noisy as well.

Interesting comment re the Japanese stock market. I have been very cynical regarding the reported Japanese economic numbers. They will eventually get it going, I hope, but I suspect the recent numbers are a false spring. Fwiw a lot of my friends and associates think I'm nuts, not an uncommon view <g>, but I have not joined in the rush to yen and yen denominated assets. In my defense I immodestly point out to them that throughout 97 and 98 as they kept losing money by shorting Japanese bonds I was making pretty good money counter punching the corrections. I remain a skeptic on Japan.

On the subject of Japan, it is worth noting the passing of Akio Morita.
