So we're all half right & hazy on the details huh? I was too little to notice it at the time. What a shame to see someone so vibrant lose his life so young, that's what it really is. James Dean had a look in his eyes that reached one's own defiance and pain, didn't he?! And he sure did have that drifterly dangerous thing goin' for himself that gals find so attractive (like deer in the headlights LOL) in spite of ourselves. Something best safely watched from afar on a movie screen if U know what i mean. Thinking he had a sad early life & then too much acclaim and money and intense art and partying rushed in on top of that too fast.
He probably felt immortal while feeling as though he didn't deserve it, all at the same time. He seems to have been a really beloved soul, whatever it was about him. So after his death, it's proven he really did deserve all the good that came to him, after all. Hope he's resting in peace.
