Go back and look at my post again.I edited it.I suggested to Ed that he make a list of the top 10 Resource sector Mutual Funds in Canada and link them to his site from funds library. That's all.I was looking at them back then.

I have been in this funds business for 15 years On Feb 8, 1985---Through the black monday in 1987.Resource stocks have been pitiful the last 5 years(true)But if you look at some of those funds now and dump a little cash in them you will be quite happy if the oil and precious metals rally is sustained.I alluded to japan a couple of times on here ad also suggested Investors Japanese and AGF Japan. Both have similar investment styles and if Derek Smith is still managing IG Japan this should continue to be a good performer as the Japanese economy rebounds and it will.AGF also has a good long term performance although the numbers on both funds are somewhat skewed right now due to short term collapses of the Japanese econy and scandal in major banks. This will work itself out.
As to the resource sector.....take your pick.I agree with fuddle. Some of the funds are dogs based on their asset mix and specific companies but Greenline has a reasonable fund.Others are just as good.I also think you will see these funds having tremendous inflows of cash over the next 6 months as they will be hyped by the companies as these funds start to turn around.
One other fund to consider right now due to the pressures on our financial sector stocks is AIC Groups AIC Advantage as well as it's mirror fund AIC Advantage 2.As these are heavily weighted in that sector as the sector rebounds (and it will)There will be really nice above average gains.Take a look at AIC Advantage 1-3-5 and 10 year returns on fund library and look at its ranking on the long term.
I meet with Michael Lee Chin and Jonathan Wellum and Larry Sarbit(former manager of Investors US GROWTH FUND) tuesday morning at 8:00 in ther morning.Should be interesting to say the least.
