Thats an interesting idea. How do you propose to do that? I follow/watch, more or less, a couple of hundred companies. I noticed that the quality stocks and well known companies did to a large degree what you would expect. The pros positioning themselves. Vengold was one of the better performers, but I still think it was mainly oversold and then it also solved its debt problem by selling another 12% of their stock. MR, which I sold about a week before the move for ipm, doubled (IPM is mainly copper and went down - good move koanhead)- and that is how it always acted. Personally, I like some of the quality stocks that are illiquid in a bear mkt because they will also leap frog when volume and liquidity starts e.g. fsr and asm - PHPI) I havn't really seen too many big surprises.
