Jaskay,

Thanks for your continued interest.

We are, in essence, conceding that we are not going to be the biggest player (maybe not a player at all) in the wireless LAN market. We are focusing on the wireless wide area networking market (WAN) and hope to be a dominant player there. The LAN market is already filled with big players like Nokia, Nortel, Lucent and most recently Ericsson. The LAN market has a small gross margin and will be a cut-throat business within the next year or two. In the LAN market, we intend to collect royalties and the most we hope for is to sell modules.

ETSI BRAN is a variation of the IEEE802.11a. This means it still uses W-OFDM which means that we believe that we are entitled to royalties from manufacturing or selling in north America.

If the unlicensed spectrum becomes saturated, manufacturers will entice the consumers to replace their old products with newer faster ones. However, as the manufacturers target homes with products, the market gained a new dimension that makes saturation a distant future subject.

I am glad to share my thoughts whenever I can. The only reasons I sometimes do not are protecting our marketing strategy and not divulging insider information.

All the best.

Hatim
