Good morning, Sunny. I'm out of town, and don't have the fm with me, but mightn't Rambus's current users fall under the category of pre-chasm early adopters? Personally I thought that Dell's announcement that they would use rdram in their server line as the first indication that chasm crossing was near.

A fine Sunday to all and GO NINERS!!!

Sunny,

It seems to me that everyone here is calling the introduction of intel's MOBO's with RDRAM as the chasm crossing event. I think that RMBS is in the bowling alley. There are products on shelves (Game consoles) from major players that indicate there is product adoption and rapid growth in the future.

Though I'll remind everyone that I'm not a student of Rambus, I'm inclined to believe you are right. However, because Rambus sells an enabling technology, the crucial point that dictates the making of an initial investment is the start of the tornado, not the crossing of the chasm. To the extent people will hold to gorilla-gaming investing criteria, your thinking that the product adoption is still in the bowling alley is critically important.
