yup - U'r right. thanks. just a little sleepy on a sunday morning.

A better way of saying that is
"why do you imagine that the put buyer would want to exercise ahead of expiry?"
It would require the stock to be about 35 for him to make money. If he exercises before then , I take the stock, maybe I cash out and maybe I don't. If we get into the mid-30's, maybe I roll the puts or maybe I just take the chance. Thanks for all the helpful tidbits.
