I just got a PM from a friend who used to work in the oil biz. He says: You mean you didnt find any promissory notes for oil wells???? Thats because there aint no such thing <LMAO> But there are contracts for delivery... thing is you have to produce oil to write the contract. So whatever "promissory notes" LFT is talking about, they're not a normal part of the oil business. As my buddy points out, if you want a play on forward prices, you buy or write futures contracts. What's Jeannette up to now?
