ot: You're NOT crazy! It's true (IMO)! We, here in So. Calif, used to have a very nice light-rail system (street cars) that served a very good purpose. They were removed several years/decades ago... Many feel & know that it was all the result of the giant automakers undermining State & local governments to have them converted to busses. I, personally, don't know it first-hand but, I suspect it's true. I would be willing to bet that the giant automakers own many patents on other types of fueled vehicles just to keep them OFF the market to protect what we/they have now. IMHO Joe
