I'm a physician, and I wouldn't touch any of these companies. Computerized medical charts, much less sharing on the internet, are far, far off in the future. Even if the hospitals/doctors were interested, our reimbursements are so low that it is a wasted use of capital.

And thank God, I practice in a blue collar area so I don't have to put up with patients second guessing me with what they got off the internet. A little learning is a dangerous thing, and doctors don't have 7-10 years of training for nothing.

I told my hospital administrator he ought to contain costs by having dietary go down the hall and throw out honey roasted peanuts to patients or just roasted peanuts to the diabetics. If third party payers want to pay peanut fares, then give them peanuts.

I just wish I had shorted Healtheon.
