I had an error in my spreadsheet which I whipped up to look at YTD - should have been equities up 9.1% YTD and with options value, about 12%. Not enough coffee....

rude,

I guess, I should have read more of your posts. It's obvious that you can handle the risk associated with 100 contracts; and that you have a reasonably solid understanding of what you're doing and why.

I can forgive you for getting the Jan contract symbol wrong; and for not fully appreciating the difference between American and European style Options with respect to early assignment. ;-)

Like the others, I believe the Jan 40s will turn out to be a winner. The biggest risk is that too many of us think that and the market has a habit of proving the majority wrong time after time after time ...

Good luck,
Ian.
