The Coppermine will be MUCH cheaper for Intel produce - and MUCHMUCH CHEAPER than AMD' AThFlop. For example --> Coppermine die size =~ 106 sq. mm WITH 256K on-chip L2 cache. Package it in a cheap FC-PPGA - even FURTHER COST REDUCTION, eliminating the daughter card, the plastic case, the pc assembly and the external L2 cache. For the AthFlop - 184 sq. mm !!! ANd it REQUIRES a daughter card, the plastic case, the pc assembly and the external L2 cache CHIPS. Coppermine prices are going to knock YOU and AMD for a loop, JimmyMac ! Paul
