Peggy-
My Jets are 2-1 in spite of ourselves. When we lose money the other team loses more. We've got one heavyweight on the team and a few lurkers and they all seem to put up with me, so I can't complain.

Did you hear what Tommy had to say about that Value Line index that is now below where it was in 1997? I was shocked when I heard that, but then I recalled what happened to me in 1998. Nasty stuff, it was, and I haven't recovered yet from my fight with the tape in the oil patch. In fact, I fully expect to have a tax loss for 1999 thanks to some energy holdings that I sold earlier this year.

But how do you figure that this is going to be one heck of a buying opp coming up? Sure, there will be lots of nice buys, but I just can't find the value that was there a year ago. There's a few decent p/e plays such as ROP, which has been very good to me over the years, but the other technically strong candidates mostly have pretty high ratios. Care to share your short list with us?
