That is how it (ARCA) works on that type of order, just as Eric describes. In that kind of a situation, I often get immediate fills coming in from the different price levels, to build the position. Nice, automated, fast. Of course, if the offers are setting there on the ISLD book, that's a bit faster; but they rarely are -- at that time those guys are usually trying to buy it, just like me. -Steve

Okay, thanks for the clarification. However, if the inside MMs show sufficient size then you are still stuck at that level. I guess that's the situation I'd like to see addressed. I would like an option which allows my order to be filled by any and all ECNs up to my limit before or at the same time as trying the MMs.
