I have to remind myself that [perception] is only a relatively small part of the game. The fact that Cisco has had a lock on their market probably has something to do with it. <g> But since perception is so much a part of the GG theory, it's nice to include it in the whole picture.

I think you really hit on something. Using different words, we might say that perception is strong enough to help the stock of gorillas but might not be strong enough to overcome the inherent weaknesses of strong players in royalty games.

The corollary is that the strength of perception among players in royalty games might be temporarily strong, but ultimately the fundamentals will win out. When that happens, perception will be just as strong on the way down as it was on the way up.
