Y2K has caused companies and individuals to stockpile products and services prior to Jan 1, 2000. This will cause earnings to be very very good for many companies who sell these products and services. It will make it difficult for a major decline in the stock market until after Jan 2000. The market never does what people expect and everyone is expecting this decline now. Everyone usually looks for a Jan rally. I think that is when the market will really get hit.
