Mad2:

I'll give you a general answer now and a more specific answer after I talk to the company.

Cold products aren't cleared from the shelf after the cold season is over. While sales might be greater during certain times of the year, there are always cold products on the shelf and I would expect Zicam to always be on the shelf. Albertsons and Eckerds placed their initial orders for Zicam in February and March. This was basically after the cold season was over. They didn't send all of their inventory back during the summer. In fact, Albertsons and Eckerds placed multiple reorders throughout the year.

People get colds year round and there is demand for cold products year round. It has been said that cold weather doesn't cause colds. The reason that people get more colds in the winter is because they stay indoors more and are in closer proximity to other people. This increases the chances of catching a cold.

Gel Tech is also planning to conduct a clinical study to explore the efficacy of Zicam on certain allegies. If these studies prove successful, then Zicam will be marketed as an allergy relief and this should increase demand during the spring months.

Regards,

Dan
