Bridge Player, While your statements are absolutely accurate for the real world, haven't you forgot the first step in every Econ 101 example: The Simplifying Assumptions. For example, A rocket scientist, an engineer and an economist were marooned on a desert island. After the rocket scientist and the engineer had despaired of all hope of ever being rescued alive, the economist stepped in and immediately solved the problem.
