OT* Gary- Thanks for your thoughts on them. Sentiment on them is definitely bad. It is all in the timing. It may be too early to acquire them. Was that MT paying a 12% div. when your Mom bought it?

I have to think that earnings will keep coming in the future due to demographics and politics. Even in a recession, people will get sick. A 'bubble' of middle aged sedentary boomers with fast food diets also forcasts a huge potential in health care.

As for politics- Hillary and the democrats have failed to push through anything remotely resembling health care reform in the 7 years that they have controlled the white house. I think the chances of it happening in the next 5 years are slim and none.

Rising inflation increases the REITs property values and incomes, but also their expenses. I'm not certain of the net effect, but real estate values more than held their own in the last inflationary era.

Just MHO- Perhaps we should start a thread on them instead of taking up space here.

Regards,
TW
