Joe, Yes Denver did itself proud. 42,253 people was an beautiful sight. I think you and the Techriders should plan a trip to Denver next year for the Race For The Cure. We are going to try to beat Washington D.C.'s record and Ford who really does a lot in this battle said yesterday they are going to give Denver all the help they can to make it happen.
Ford had countless TV ads telling about the race and I'm sure along with Denver's News 9, they are why we have the turn outs we do.
Some strange things happened that have my Wife and I wondering if Rita's spirit was there. 42 thousand people is a lot of people and those are just the people who registered, so it was a shock to MRS. BLUE and I when three women walked up to MRS. BLUE and I and said they were from back east and were friends of Rita. They said it was very nice to see her name on our backs.
MRS. BLUE told them that Rita was a good friend, a member of our church, a mentor to MRS. BLUE during her treatment.
I think Rita was there and with us all. She was with me, as I ran I felt strong and free, almost like someone was running with me. We kicked cancer's a$$ yesterday and we are not done yet. No sir, not until we kill it.
Thanks to you Joe and all Techriders who fight the battle.
