Phil, that's worth a reprint. From RB:<<By: Alyce Reply To: 19643 by stoneranger Sunday, 3 Oct 1999 at 9:59 AM EDT Post # of 19743 Thanks for the respect comment ...if I am to understand you correctly. As to the reason for the rising price, well the Gordoon always got it to rise by crafting enough bull$hit in the form of rumors and innuendo to make it go up just on investor's belief. With almost 200,000,000 shares out that's too much weight from his inept and incompetent decisions so this time will be different. If any of you have been or are making those random school calls you too know that it's not just belief this time. And with the addition of Home Shopping hawking the Home Shopping Musicard in their prime and fill time TV spaces, and it being a sort of Home Shopping exclusive to Home Shopping, millions of people (couch potatoe's), will begin to get the idea that the Musicard whether it's Lifetime Learning's, Coca Cola's, Babe Ruth League's, 4H, Future Business Leaders , McDonald's, or even the Home Shopping Musicard and so on and so on, THE Musicard IS the way to buy recorded music. As this develops you then begin to understand what may happen with the Photocard, bookcard and so and so on product by product. Amazon has a model that's pretty much the same as it's always been. More and more product but still not sure if it can make a profit. The Card however not only sidesteps the usual advertising and marketing costs but drives revenue to the bottom line BEFORE any product is even requested. Without this traditional overhead all products will have the advantage of being the lowest priced on the Internet. All this will happen, but only with new management. The Share Pig and his habits of devious machinations re the stock and inability to ever manage at the operational level will be a major obstacle to continued success. The addition of a new and apparently honest and independent Board member is great. The addition of Mr. Murphy is a good move. However, with The Share Pig still calling the shots, and he will, it will be almost impossible for anyone, even someone such as Mr. Murphy with his credentials to make decisions without a direct impact from the Share Pig's decison apparatus. And that history of the Share Pig's consistent failure will weigh heavily on Mr. Murphy. Only a matter of time that people of talent depart. Look at the trail of departed, RESIGNED, management teams. There are reasons. As to the small cap's ... yes I think we'll see the necessary price before too much longer goes by. Application will be filed quickly, imho. The Share Pig looks to be getting his ducks in a row better than this past few years but his habits will overrule logic in the long run. Any success right now will feed his need for recognition and convince him he's the one for all the good that's happening. Imho, he'll never recognize the ten or more years of consistent failure and stockholer losses and unless he's forced or escorted out he'll try to hang on. So because of that I still say ...Throw the Bastards Out!!! Al>>
