no. i'm reading. i'm struck by the fact that the events are meaningless so far in the book. and as i recall remain so. it is about the relationship of things to each other.

one image i have is of the editors observing ar who is observing himself observe germain berger observe m. robellon. it is like a set of mirrors within mirrors etc. that is the nausea trap. everything is self referential.

it is noteworthy i think that speculates that people write different histories of people given the same facts. that it is the structure that people impose that is more significant than the actual facts. like "being there."

also, his nausea goes away sometimes when there is art like singing etc. this foreshadows his later coping mechanisms.
