Sundar,

Glenn Rudolph is the put expert, and he taught me much of what I know on the subject.

A friend who is a broker at Fidelity has told me that some of his most successful accounts are put writers. The call writers win some, but lose many.

As for call leaps, I've not done much of that so I couldn't say how profitable it is on average. A friend recently bought G leaps and is happy with them so far.
