JR. Maybe I am smoking...something! But I remember reading an article in the Financial Post or Globe&Mail where an analyst mentioned that CGI top executives where talking with Ameritech and SBC.

I'm not inventing this! And it's based on THAT, that I've extrapolated. Simple extrapolation wouldn't you say?

You know very well that NorTel won't come in first. CGI needs to get a strong presence in the US, FIRST! Then NorTel will be a "gi'me" (the next logical step)!

The Ameritech and SBC merger was announced in early 1998 to be finalized in May 1998. Well it took more time because of the FCC board. Now they're coming to an end. During that time, I think CGI was already in discussion with them and may be ready to make an announcement after the merger is approved!

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
