Spy--no, I hadn't noticed, thanks for bringing to my attention. As I posted a few weeks ago, I don't spend much time these days on the E*Trade site (despite the fact that 2/3s of my portfolio is invested in EGRP...), partly because I'm no longer trading very frequently, but also because--outside of briefing.com--I don't find much reason to go there. I've never figured out the discussion threads there (the EGRP one is very active, but I can't figure out how to use it), and I use SI for my daily viewing of the stocks I follow (E*Trade's site is too slow, as you note).

I agree with your comments on Amazon; I used to avoid using them after they started selling CDs (I was a CDNow shareholder at the time), but after I sold CDNow, I marvel at how fast they will get a book or CD order delivered to me--literally in about 2 days after purchasing it. Amazing.

Thanks for the E*Trade/Japan site earlier today. Clever just to put the URL there with no explanation!

Anyone know of an OLB that has low comissions for options?
