I am absolutely saying that.

The L2 cache and cartridge add costs - but in the VOLUMES Intel was cranking out - tens of millions per quarter - economies of scale click in and kept the added costs in check.

And with a die size of 81 sq. mm., AMD was achieveing only 34% die yields at wafer sort by my calculations.

This was EASILY a factor of TWO less than Intel's yields (per centage wise).
